Western Territories Manager

Scott Barclay has over 20 years’ experience in the agricultural industry with extensive experience as an agronomist and in the areas of customer service, sales management, training and sales forecasting.

Scott started out in chemical and fertilizer and seed sales. In 2002 he worked as a Corporate Agronomist for Young and Young of Idaho. For over 10 years Scott was Crop Advisor/Sales Representative for Land View Fertilizer advising growers on chemical and fertilizer applications.

With strong chemicals, fertilizer, seed and crop expertise, Scott has been able to establish relationships with growers and looks forward to using his knowledge and skill as Western Territories Manager.

Scott is a certified Crop Advisor (CCA 33406).

Roger McCary

Roger McCary

Senior Vice President - Agronomy

Roger McCary is an irrigation water management and aerial photography expert with over 40 years of working knowledge in the Pacific Norwest region including Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. As a senior agronomist for ProAg, Roger’s extensive experience at the business means that he has impressive field consultancy, moisture monitoring and infrared knowledge.

Roger grew up on his family’s farm in Washington State’s Columbia Basin. For nearly 10 years he worked in irrigation, from installation to design and sales, with heavy focus on the center pivot system.

Working for an ag-tech company, Roger gained hands-on experience with the infrared process, neutron probes and moisture monitoring across a variety of crops including row-crops (potatoes, onions), tree crops, viticulture and many others such as hops.

Roger formed ProAg in 1987 with Mike Stephenson. ProAg joined the CropLogic Group in 2017.

Senior Vice President - Agronomy

Mike Stephenson has over 40 years’ experience in field consultancy, moisture monitoring and infrared, soil and plant tissue sampling, nematode sampling, pest management and identifying and assisting farmers with best management practices.

Mike began his agricultural career as a field consultant for Cenex Soil Service Center. He then went on to manage an agricultural seed operation and work for an ag-tech company where he gained experience with infrared neutron probes and moisture monitoring. In 1987, Mike and Roger McCary formed ProAg, which joined the CropLogic Group in 2017.

Mike is a 10-year board member of the Franklin County Conservation District, which is charged with identifying and assisting farmers across Washington, Oregon and Idaho with best management practices as relates to crop production and conservation of water, soils, fuels and food safety. He holds an Associate Degree in Agricultural Chemical Business.

Sam Kniveton

Sam Kniveton

Junior Vice President - Agronomy

Sam Kniveton is an agronomist with over 20 years’ experience in farm management, crop production, customer service and technical expertise across the Pacific Norwest region.

Specializing in irrigation, Sam applies the latest technology, including CropLogic realTime app and desktop dashboard, to collect and analyse crop and soil data gathered, helping his customers across Washington, Oregon and Idaho, develop an irrigation strategy to optimise yield and grower success.

Sam joined ProAg in 2006. Prior to this he worked as a technician for a Washington State University Asparagus harvester project and as a Hereford farm manager. In 2017, ProAg, joined the CropLogic Group.

Sam holds an BA Agriculture from Washington State University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Columbia Basin College with certificates in crops and soils, and agriculture management.

Chris Friberg

Chris Friberg

Junior Vice President - Agronomy

Chris Friberg is an agronomy specialist with over 15 years’ experience in seed, plant and crop monitoring and analysis, irrigation consultation, and technology programming and design. Chris also has an extensive practical knowledge of neutron probes, realTime capacitance probes and realTime equipment.

While completing his studies at Washing State University, Chris assisted in various plant breeding, harvesting and analyzing projects. In 2009 he started as a Plant Technician for Syngenta in Pasco, WA, treating and analyzing small vegetable seed to determine moisture content and seeds/pound.

Since 2010, Chris has been an Irrigation Consultant for ProAg (which joined the CropLogic group in 2017), using his probe expertise to consult on irrigation scheduling based on current soil moisture and forecast evapotranspiration across a variety of crops including tree crops, viticulture, row-crops (potatoes, onions) throughout the Pacific Norwest region.

Chris holds a Bachelor Science, Horticulture from Washington State University and a FAA Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft System Pilot Certificate.

Cedric Geffen has close to 30-years’ experience within the Ag-Tech industry. He has worked as an independent consultant and has also filled senior management roles in sales, marketing, business development, customer relationship enhancement, strategy and innovation at both a national and international level. His career spans work experience in Australia, New Zealand, Israel and South Africa within a wide range of ag-tech sectors such as irrigation, dairy, poultry, animal ID, animal genetics, horticulture and ag chem.

Talitha Gollan

Talitha Gollan

Agronomist

Talitha Gollan has worked as an agronomist for 5 years and has developed a keen knowledge of broadacre cereal and legume crops, irrigated cotton, cropping inputs, best-practice management and has the strong ability to form and maintain enduring client relationships.

Talitha has a passion for engaging with the agricultural community demonstrated through the facilitation of information workshops, field days and field trips in previous roles.

Talitha began her agronomy career in Central Western NSW before relocating to the Sunraysia region, Victoria in 2015 and commenced her role as a sales agronomist for CropLogic in September 2018, based in Mildura, Victoria.

Talitha holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and a Diploma in Agriculture (Commercial Agronomy) and was a recipient of a highly regarded internal award with a previous employer for demonstrating high achievement in the area of business-earn, contribution to the development of the agronomy team as well as her dedication to the development of women in agriculture.
